Summer is over!

So summer has come and gone and I will be saying goodbye to my Summer Farmers Markets. This means that I will be gearing up for the Holiday Markets.

My first fall show will be at the Shriners Temple in Mount Pleasant on Friday, October 2nd and 3rd from 9-5pm both days.

On Saturday, November 14, I will be at Irvin House Vineyards for the Blessing of The Vine from 1-5pm. There will be artisan crafters, music, a chili cook-off and of course WINE! Lots of fun for everyone!

I hope to see you there..........

Julie/Julia Project

The Julie/Julia Project movie looks quite entertaining and Meryl Street appears to have Julia Child channeled in the previews. I may have to catch this movie soon.

But, did you know the original blog is online? All the way back from 2002! I had no idea there was such a thing back then. Seven years ago sounds like a million in computer years. So if you want to peruse the Julie/Julia project blog here is the link. Oh, and there is a book as well, which evidently spawned from the blog.

I am not familiar with this type of blog and could not figure out how to get to more current postings. So I changed the date in the address bar and it worked!

Happy Faces.......

Here is a photo I took of some sunflowers. My friend Michelle has a garden every year and Sunflowers are a staple. A few years ago she gave me a lovely bouquet as I was leaving her house. I took pictures so I could remember how beautiful they were. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Contest!

In honor of my new blog, I will be holding a contest beginning today, June 14, 2009 until June 30, 2009. So get those fingers pumping and post a comment about your most favorite relaxation technique.

To unwind do you: Have a glass of wine, take a walk, take a long soak in the tub or something else?

At the end of the contest, I will use the famed custom number generator to pick a winner. The prize will be a handmade soap in the fragrance of your choice!

Good Luck!

Welcome!

I took this a few years ago in my backyard. :)

I must confess that blogging intimidates me. I am not a writer and I find it difficult to convey thoughts to people I can't see. However, I really want to blog about what I do and people I know and just fun things in general.

For starters, I am a soap maker and handmade soap has been my passion for over 8 years. In addition, I like to 'experiment' with other crafts. Right now that other craft is taking pictures. But nothing else has captured my creative ability like soap making. Yet! This leaves me to live through others and their handmade creativity and secretly wishing I had their talent!

I am a mother to a 20 year old son, a wife of 23 years and I live in Charleston, S.C. along with two fur kids, Lucy & Ringo.

Nothing could be finer!

Hugs,
Angie
